How are you 10 months old? I'm positive that I begin all of my monthly updates with some form of this question. I can't believe you're almost a year old. It makes me sad and excited all at once.
You're so loved. Everyone adores you. You get attention wherever you go.
We recently took our first real vacation with you, and it was so fun. You were such a delight to be around. You hardly ever fussed - even on the 6 hour car ride! You're such a good baby. We hear that all the time. You're so independent but cuddly at the same time! I love it! I LOVE our morning cuddles. They're my absolute favorites.
If there was ever any doubt that you have your Daddy t-totally wrapped around your finger, forget it! He loves you SO much. Audra put it perfectly last night when we were talking. He seems to "adore" you. He would go to the moon and back if you asked him to! He even likes pushing you around in the stroller with your backpack on his back...only because it's you.
You'll eat just about anything we put in front of you. You're getting much better at solid foods and definitely want anything that we're eating. Juice is one of your favorites, even though you don't get it very often. You'll suck down a sippy of juice quicker than we can eat our meal.
You recently went swimming for the first time and although you hated it at first, you eventually grew to love it. You looked so cute in your ruffle pink swimsuit. Absolutely precious! You even enjoyed your floaty! You also LOVE to dance. You'll start bouncing to music and smiling. You usually twist your upper body while flailing your arms. It's the cutest thing ever.
You've changed SO much developmentally in the last month. You love to clap and play "where's Caroline?" with the blanket. Sometimes I'll look in the rearview mirror and you're holding up your blanket waiting on me to play. I always do. :) You've taken a few steps in the last week and we're so proud! You get so excited to get to us that you fall fairly quickly, but we're proud of those 3 steps anyway!
Your smile can seriously take any frustration or sadness away. You're smiling at me right now, actually. It's so incredibly precious. I LOVE your smile. It just lights up the room!
You've started getting further in your vocabulary than "da-da" which is very appreciated! You only say "ma-ma'" when you're upset, but I'll take what I can get. You can say bye bye while waving (although this takes a lot of prompting) and you could rival your cousin Drew in a screaming match. You've recently figured out how to get really loud - and you definitely perfected that skill quickly! You're understanding the meaning of no-no and mind pretty well. I hate having to get that stern voice and look with you. Sometimes just the look hurts your feelings, but you definitely are starting to test your limits.
You've still only got your two bottom teeth, but I'm pretty sure it won't be long before some top ones come in. Regardless, you can eat most table food with just your gums! Ha!
You throw things when you don't want them anymore and it's quite annoying. Your paci, your food, your drink...you name it. We're still working on the no-no for that one. As usual, you sleep perfectly through the night as long as we're not at someone else's house. In that situation, you normally end up in the bed with me. I don't always mind. ;)
Little girl, I can't wait to see what you're going to do in the next two months. You're such a wonderful joy to us. My love for you is absolutely unconditional. Above all, I pray that you become a wonderful Christian woman who strives to please the Lord. You couldn't make us any happier. We love you.
